Data Deletion

This page lets you request deletion of your Haiko account and associated data, including profiles, walks, spots, and photos, without needing to reinstall the app.
Option 1: Delete from the app (recommended)
This is the simplest and most immediate method:
- Open the Haiko app on your smartphone.
- Navigate to Profile > Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm your request on the confirmation screen.
Your account and associated data are then deleted from our systems, except for information we may need to retain temporarily for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Option 2: Request deletion through this web page
If you no longer have access to the app or your phone, you can request account deletion by emailing us at the address below:
- Send an email to: privacy@haiko.app
- State in the subject line: "Account Deletion Request".
- Email us from the address linked to your Haiko account, or clearly mention that address in your message.
- Specify whether you want to delete only your account, or your account and all associated data where applicable.
We will process your request within a maximum of 15 calendar days.
Active subscriptions
Deleting your Haiko account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play or App Store subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first through the relevant payment platform.
What is deleted and what may be retained
Once your request is validated, we delete your Haiko account and the associated data used in the normal operation of the service. Some information may still be retained for a limited time when required by law, or when necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute handling.
